After 36 years in the business, 29 of them with Coldwell Banker, broker Dave Murray and his 10-person team at DMTX Realty in Austin, Texas, have made the move to Keller Williams.

Through the years, Murray; who focuses on luxury, land, and ranches and is among the top 1% of agents in Austin; has had a steady stream of real estate suitors – including Keller Williams 25 years ago, but the timing wasn’t right. It was a reintroduction to Keller Williams in August that made him reconsider.

“After talking with Gary and hearing how Keller Williams is remodeling the industry, it was KW hands down,” Murray reflects. “By a factor of 100. It was just a matter of hammering out the details.”

Murray got into real estate in 1984, a few years before the crash in the late ’80s. “That was a most difficult time,” he recalls. “Worse than anything we’ve seen since.” That’s why his team’s move to Keller Williams was strategic and calculated. He’d been through innumerable market shifts and changes, but recognized that the industry wasn’t merely shifting, but undergoing a fundamental transformation. “Real estate is always evolving and changing, but the last few years have been dramatic.”

As Coldwell Banker’s #1 agent in Central Texas, Murray was looking for ways to advance to $100 million-plus in annual sales. He and his high-performance team routinely produce annual sales of $65 million. “It’s not a bad place to be, but I know we can break through and do more.” He’s eager to implement models and systems to scale efforts, increase efficiencies, boost sales, and be more profitable. He’s especially committed to embracing Command’s suite of tools.

“With the changing nature of the industry, I knew that it was time to move and align with a company that protects and promotes the best interests of their agents. Keller Williams is so far ahead with their emphasis on technology, training, and support. I know we’re in the best place at the exact right time.”
